a Floral Table Centerpiece Arrangement Workshop

We are delighted to have Maria Ryan founder of Bell Meadow flowers, a small scale garden based flower farm and design studio in rural Co. Carlow back here in Coolamber.

To start the day everyone will be welcomed with tea/coffee, scones, brown bread and treats in the renovated stables
Through the seasons there are many shrubs, trees, and bulbs to choose from. Maria will be talking through woody and herbaceous perennials and suggesting varieties for each season. You will learn the best perennials in the garden that makes for excellent cut flowers.

Under Maria's guidance you will shown how to create a beautiful floral table centrepiece. You will learn some basic design principles using foam-free mechanics.The arrangement will include a mix of gorgeous Irish perennial flowers and foliage from her own garden.
​
At 1pm you will get to relax further and enjoy a Kir Cocktail made using our own Homemade Coolamber Cassis.
A two course home cooked Lunch will be served the dining room of Coolamber House using our own seasonal salads and vegetables from the kitchen garden.
​
After Lunch everyone will be brought on a guided walk of our 1 acre Walled Garden, Reflection Garden with Ann Marie Durkin. This will include a tour of the Orchard, Kitchen garden, Fruit and Berry Garden and all the out buildings
​
After walking off lunch everyone will return again to the renovated stables where you will have hands on experience and the opportunity to create your own flower masterpiece to take home
All supplies, including secutars, containers, flowers, foliage and floral design supplies, are provided.
​
You will go home with not only a beautiful arrangement but with much inspiration and more confidence to design floral arrangements to beautify your own home or give as gifts to others and of course you will have enjoyed some valuable time for yourself.
