Join us for a unique day at Coolamber, where you'll explore the art of foraging and crafting with nature’s bounty. Guided by Mary, an experienced forager with a background in science, cookery, and natural medicine. Mary delights in connecting people with the food a their feet, sharing her lifelong passion for uncovering natures hidden  edible and healing treasures growing all around us.

10:30 AM | Welcome and Introductions

Every one will meet at Coolamber’ s renovated stables, where guests will be greeted with a tea/coffee and homemade scones. We’ll have a brief introduction to the day’s activities and a short overview of the foraging area and safety guidelines.

 

Morning Session| Guided Foraging Walk

Begin the day with an immersive foraging session on the grounds of Coolamber. We’ll learn to explore what nature has to offer in spring from delicate flowers to health boosting greens. identify various plants, herbs, and flowers that can be used for culinary, medicinal, and skincare purposes. Medicine and myths connected with each plant will be also be discussed.

Our guide will cover essential foraging tips, including plant recognition, sustainable harvesting, and ethical foraging practices.

Enjoy a delicious, seasonal lunch inspired by fresh, local ingredients. Relax in the charming period dining room of Coolamber House  and share your discoveries from the morning foraging walk with fellow participants

Afternoon Session  | Botanical Hand Cream 

​n the afternoon, we’ll gather indoors for a hands-on botanical crafting session. Using some of the ingredients gathered in the morning, we’ll learn to make a nourishing hand cream, perfect for gardeners and nature lovers. This part of the day focuses on the benefits of each ingredient, blending techniques, and the joy of creating natural, handmade products.​

 

At the end of the day you will leave with not only  a new set of foraging skills but  the confidence to craft more botanical products at home.  You will also have your own natural gardeners  handcream and a photo record of plants

Gift & Farm Shop

Participants will have the opportunity to browse our gift and farm shop, which offers a variety of hand-selected locally produced products perfect for gardening enthusiasts. Discover tools, organic seeds, garden décor, seasonal produce, and unique gifts to take a piece of the workshop home with you
