Morning Session: Arrive to a warm welcome with tea and coffee and freshly baked scones served in the main stable.
This gentle start to the day offers time to meet fellow participants, settle in, and enjoy a relaxed introduction before the workshop begins.
Once everyone has gathered, you’ll be invited to step through to our newly created bespoke kitchen in the adjoining stable—your creative space for the day.
Susan Perry will be joining us for a hands-on morning of seasonal preserving.You’ll learn the art of making traditional Seville orange marmalade and a beautifully spiced festive chutney—perfect for gifting or keeping for your own winter table.Together we’ll stir, simmer, taste, and fill jars that capture the essence of the season
1pm to 2pm. Lunch in the Dining RoomTake a break and enjoy a nourishing, seasonal lunch served in our heritage dining room. A moment to unwind, share stories, and enjoy good company.
Afternoon Session: Return to The Stables kitchen for a delicious demonstration on crafting luxurious chocolate truffles. Learn techniques for flavouring, shaping, and decorating these indulgent treats—another beautiful handmade gift for the holidays.
We’ll finish the day by guiding you through simple, elegant ways to package your edible creations. Ribbons, tags, and seasonal touches to make every jar and box feel special.
Leave with a collection of lovingly made preserves and truffles, ready to share—or savour—along with inspiration for creating your own edible gifts at home.
