We are delighted to welcome Nick Bailey to Coolamber House & Gardens.

This is an amazing opportunity to have one of Britains top gardeners, author and regular Gardners world presenters share his expertise.

Focusing on proven techniques Nick has developed over 25 years, the course combines the art and science of growing for year-round colour.

Initially focusing on the fascinating science of how plants have evolved to make and use colour, he goes on to explore the role of colour in the garden and how gardeners can employ simple artistic ideas, such as the colour-wheel, to inform their plant groupings across the seasons.

Not limited to flower colour, Nick will also explore the impact of foliage and the dynamic colours, textures and backdrops it can provide. The course also has a strong focus on extending flowering seasons and THE longest flowering plants in the UK, along with
exploring a wide range of unusual but easy-to-grow plants which will deliver the elusive dream of 365 Days of Colour in Your Garden.

The workshop also features practical elements such building a simple colour palette and techniques for selecting plants to sit within the selected colour scheme.

Also Included will be a two course lunch with sparkling Cava in the dining room of Coolamber House and an opportunity to walk and explore the Two Walled Gardens including our recently created Reflective Wall Garden.

Places will be strictly limited and booking in advance is required.
